Born January 3, 1945, in Welch WV, he was the son of the late Woodrow Sr and Virginia Blanch Bailey.He was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Army; Retiring as a Sergeant First Class serving in Korea, Vietnam where he was awarded the Silver and Bronze Star Medals, and Germany. He was also retired from the U.S. Postal Service.He was preceded in death by his parents.He is survived by his brother, Jerry Tate and wife Darlene of Davy WV, one sister Sandra Pointer of San Juan Capistrano, CA. several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews, a special cousin, Gerry Griffin of Hyattsville MD. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell WV.
