"Mildred Pauline Morgan, 77, of Shady Spring, died at 10:05 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2001, in Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness."Born Dec. 7, 1923, at Pecks Mill, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Mary Vannater Miller.
"Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at Stanaford. She was a 27-year resident of Shady Spring.
"Survivors include her husband of 54 years, David E. Morgan; three sons, David J. Morgan and his wife, Bobbie, of Jasper, Ala., Edward L. Morgan and his wife, Berniadean, of Hickory, N.C., and Charles R. Morgan and his wife, Drema, of Valdese, N.C.; two daughters, Sue Upton and her husband, Ronnie, and Tamela McComas and her husband, John, all of Shady Spring; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
"Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Rose and Quesenberry Shady Spring Chapel with Speaker Earl Shrewsbery officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Pecks Mill. He was born on February 10, 1960 in Welch, WV son of the Sylvia Atwell Stafford of Port Orange, FL and the late Robert “Rail Road” Stafford, Sr. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother Randy Stafford, and a sister Regina Sue Stafford. In addition to his mother, his companion of over 20 years Shelly McKinney, his sons Joseph “JR” Stafford of Brenton, Stephen Stafford and Joshua Stafford both of Putnam County, a sister Rebecca “Beckey” Mueller and husband Ted of Port Orange, FL, two brothers Rick Stafford of North Carolina and Rusty Stafford of Baileysvile, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."

"Jackie Dale Toler, 66, of Tamcliff, WV passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on May 28, 1959 in Man, WV a son Eugene Toler of Tamcliff and the late Zola Mae Robinson Toler. Jackie enjoyed his time spent with his family and friends. He had the ability to always bring laughter and brightness of happiness to everyone in his presence, especially at family gatherings. He was a wonderful mechanic, he enjoyed working on vehicles and fixing all the problems on equipment. He really enjoyed horse shows and riding his motorcycles, and his old silver truck. Most of all he enjoyed his family and being loved. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Cecil and Nancy Robinson, his paternal grandparents Garland and Betty Toler, his brothers Fonnis Eugene Toler, and Terry Lee Toler, and a sister Mary Ann Wiley. Survivors include his precious father Eugene Toler with whom he resided with, two sons Carlos Eugene Toler of Mallory and Wayman Toler of Coal Mountain, his two daughters Jacklyn Paige Toler and Piper Gail Toler both of Clear Fork, his grandchildren Carly, Trenton, Destiny Rose, Emily Grace, Charli and Chevy, brothers Darrell Toler of Palestine, Gary Wayne (Teresa) Toler of Verner, Denny Keith (Michelle) Toler of Baisden, and Teddy (Allison) Morgan of Baileysville, sisters Earnestine (James) Grimmett of Verner, Wanda (Sammy) Mendez of Oceana, Doris Hatfield of Palestine, Teresa (Terry) Cline of Baisden, and Barbara Justice of Indiana, and a host of other loving family and friends.
