"Eunice Bailey – Blankenship (Pune), 75, of Rock View, WV went home to be with the Lord June 7, 2026 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV."Eunice as born January 9, 1951 in Iaeger, WV a daughter of the late Lacy and Hazel Roberts Short.
"In addition to her parents, Lacy and Hazel Short, Eunice was preceded in death by two husbands, Simon Bailey and Jerry Blankenship; and two brothers, Stanley and David Short.
"Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Reed of the home; one son Chris England and wife Jackie of Jonesville, NC; granddaughter, Sarah Reed of the home; a grandson Dalton England of Jonesville, NC; two step sons, James Bailey of the home and Tommy Blankenship of Mullens, WV; two special sisters-in-law, Kay Short and Joan Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and additional family and friends.
"Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 1 o’clock with Reverend Earl Brewer Jr officiating at the Pads Fork Freewill Baptist Church in Pads Fork near Hanover, WV. Burial will follow in the Roberts cemetery at Pads Fork. Pallbearers will be Creg Short, John Short, Tommy Blankenship, Andy Lester, Trevor Short, Mike Short, and Keith Smith.
