"Harrison James Lane went home to be with the Lord March 31, 2026. He was born April 3, 1929, in Kimball, West Virginia, to Moses Aaron and Lovey Elizabeth Lane."Harrison enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1947 and faithfully served his country until 1950. After his honorable discharge, he met the love of his life, Irene Workman. The two were married on June 8, 1951, at the courthouse in Chehalis, Washington. They made their home in Riffe, Washington, before eventually settling in Mossyrock, Washington.
"He spent much of his life working in the logging industry. After 32 years with Champion International, he retired, only to later partner with others to start Bar 4 Logging, where he worked for several more years before retiring again. He was a devoted member of the Western Union Old Regular Baptist Church for 42 years and found great joy in serving as the church custodian.
"Harrison was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Irene Lane; his parents; and several siblings, including Mandy Lane, Rosa Lee Lane, Pearl Rotenberry, Georgia Edith Lane, Mae Peaks, Nora Rotenberry, Bethel Dotson and Zona Davidson; his brothers, Dewey Aaron Lane, Paul Lane, William Lane, Richard Lane, Ronnie Lane and Connie Lane; as well as his grandson, Jesse Wingerter.
"He is survived by his daughters, Brenda (John) Wingerter of Silver Creek, Washington, and Karen (Jeff) Jones of Moxee, Washington; sisters, Bonnie (Bill) McDonald of New Castle, Indiana and Sheila Zippilli of Olympia, Washington. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Gina Wingerter, Melissa (Adam) Newell, Angie (Ben) Esquivel, Justin Jones and Tony (Ciara) Jones; along with six great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
"The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors of Assured Hospice, as well as the staff at Morton Love & Care Adult Family Home II, for their compassionate care.
"A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the Western Union Old Regular Baptist Church in Silver Creek, Washington. A potluck luncheon will follow the service."

"Bethel is survived by her sons, Ronald Dotson (Kathy), Larry Dotson (Sharon), Michael Dotson (Nancy), Albert Dotson (Debbie, daughters, Joyce Mendenhall (Bob), Carol Ottinger, 15 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Harrison Lane, and sister, Bonnie McDonald.
