"Mrs. Armilda E. Tiller, age 78, died Friday, October 31, 2003, at a local health care facility from a short illness. She was born July 28, 1925 in Wyoming County, West Virginia to the late Tice and Effie Lester. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Abingdon."Mrs. Tiller was a homemaker and loving mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Tiller, Sr. in 1990. Also two sisters, Mary Lambert and Molly Lambert, a brother, Floyd Lester and a grandson, Randy Jarvis.

"James Clarence Tiller, Jr., 64, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 12th, 2026 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV He was born on July 28, 1961 in Welch, WV a son of the late James Clarence Tiller, Sr. and Armilda Lester Tiller. James was a member of the Well Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Rose Fields, Merle Jarvis, Donny Tiller, Tommy Tiller and Ella Mae Tiller. Survivors include three daughters Cheryl Tiller, Amanda Tiller and Julianna Tiller, a son James Tiller, two sisters Mary McClanahan, and Dora Cline, a brother John Tiller, five grandchildren Brandon, Hailie, Jake, Aydin and Brynn, and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 18th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Jeff Green officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Lester Cemetery, Indian Creek, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."
