Born on December 17, 1927, at Guyan, WV, he was the son of the late McKinley and Nancy Harper."In addition to his parents Johnny was preceded in death by his first wife, Bessie Harper; 1 son, Johnny Mack Harper; 5 sisters, Sadie Chambers, Emaline Hatfield, Thelma Morgan, Jeanie Mounts & Truby Harper; 3 brothers, Amos Harper, Willie Harper & Ben Harper. Johnny was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was a retired custodian for the Wyoming County Board of Education. Johnny was a member of the Community Church of Coal Mountain. He enjoyed spending time with his wonderful family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

She was born on June 19, 1932 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Carmel Sutphin and Reba Waugh Black. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by Tilden and Ella Waugh who raised her, an infant son Glen, Jr., her first husband Glen Walker, her second husband Johnnie Harper, a son-in-law Mark Myers, sisters Betty Ashworth, Retha Turner, Onalean Gibson, Trelma Curtis, and Mayaldene Insco. Survivors include two daughters Tammy Myers of Brier Creek, Cecilia (Donald) Cantrell of Nebraska, grandchildren Autumn Lusk of Trace Fork, Emily, Heather and Alexis Cantrell of Cumming, GA, Andrea Myers (Michael Burchett) of Brier Creek, and Becca Mitchem (Justin) of Pineville, great grandson Axle Mitchem, sisters Mary Jeffers, and Natella Hinkle, Dora Lester who was like a sister to her, and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
