"Zendyl Ray “Sambo” Prince Sr., 57, of Mallory, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, leaving from Dignity Hospice House at Chapmanville, after a courageous battle with cancer.
"He was born December 18, 1960, in Hamlin, the son of the late Ermel Prince and Audrey Lee Davis.
"Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sherry Prince; three children, Zendyl Prince Jr. of Simon and Gregory (Cheltsie) Prince of Winfield; one daughter, Stephanie Prince of Mallory; two brothers, Ermel (Barbara) Prince of Mallory and Jackie (Lisa) Prince of North Vernon, IN; two sisters, Tammy Prince of Stollings and Amy (Sheldon) Ellis of Davin; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
"Visitation will be held from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday at the Davin Baptist Church at Davin.
"Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, 9-29-2018, at the Davin Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
"Pall bearers will be his two sons, Zendyl Prince Jr. and Gregory Prince, Rev. Tommy Vance, Blaine Vance, David Brown, and Mikey Paugh.

"Brenda Gail Owens, age 67, of Sophia, WV, passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Mrs. Owens was a homemaker, and had made her home in Sophia, WV most of her adult life. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the beach and spending time with her family."Born on February 10, 1951 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Howard Roscoe Rutherford (1918-1958) and Wanda Eddins-Rutherford-Richards (Deceased). In addition to her parents, Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" Kyle Owens (1951-2014); a sister, Sandra Lynn Rutherford-Holt (1952-2014); and by a great grandson, Grayson Reed (Deceased).
