Elkins Lafferty, 73, of Fairdale, WV woke to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on January 20, 1952 in Kopperston, WV a daughter of the late Ullvert Acie Elkins and Lillian Marie Francis Elkins. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed life by playing Po Go and making latch hooked rugs. To know Linda was a privilege by many. Linda was married to Randolph Lafferty. A love story that many wished they had. A courtship that lasted only weeks then a marriage that lasted for 55 years. They were truly a love story for all to see. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her only sister Anna Holmes, three brothers JD Holmes, Frankie and Ernie Elkins. Those left to cherish her memory include her only love, her husband Randoff Craig Lafferty whom she loved with her whole heart for 55 years. A son Randall Lafferty who was the light of her life and his fiancé Marina Hicks, two grandchildren whom she loved dearly Ethan and Brooklynn Lafferty, a great grandson Julian Cook, her mother-in-law Shirley Day at the age of 94, brother- in-laws Mike (Tina) Lafferty, Ricky Lafferty and a sister-in-law Debbie, nieces and nephews Billy, Calvin, Kim, Pam, Robert, Dale, Michael Paul, Tara, Christopher and Courtney. To mention a few Jeannie, Robbie and Odie and countless friends. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV".

"Gregory Glenn Sanders, 67, of Kopperston, WV went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2026, at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV following a short illness. Born on August 23, 1958, in Pineville, WV. Greg was the beloved son of the late Glenn and Eva Sanders. Though he experienced life with the innocence and wonder of a child, he touched countless lives with his gentle spirit, loving heart, and sweet smile. Greg found joy in the simple things he loved most, including trains, Legos, DVD’s, train magazines, coloring books, and going to church. He had a special way of reminding everyone around him to appreciate life’s little blessings. His childlike joy and pure heart made him truly one of a kind and deeply loved by many. Greg was sweet, kind-hearted, and loved deeply by his family, church family, and everyone blessed to know him. His gentle soul and innocent joy will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Nola Sanders, and Keenan and Georgie Abshire; his sister, Pamela Galapon; brothers-in-law, Porfirio Galapon and Clifford Acord; and his nephew, Joseph Jude. Left to cherish his precious memory are his devoted sister and caregiver, Lori Acord of Kopperston, who lovingly dedicated more than 20 years of her life to caring for him with endless patience, compassion, and love; his niece, Jessica (Bobby) Crouse of Kopperston; nephews Philip (Maggie) Galapon of Danville and Patrick (Andrea) Galapon of Montgomery; great-nephews Zackery Crouse of Kopperston, Gage Shepard of Beckley, Ivan Cook Jude of Oceana, Reed and Owen Galapon; and great-nieces Alexis Crouse of Kopperston, Rebecca Jude and Makayla Jude of Ravencliff, Courtney Jude, and Adalee Jude of Beckley, and Payton and Presley Galapon, his first great great nephew on the way (Baby Boy Blair), and a host of other loving family and friends. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Greg is now at peace, reunited with loved ones gone before him, and forever safe in the arms of Jesus. He is preceded in death by his step father Clifford Acord, grandparents Hazel Betty Jude, Andrew Sheridan Jude, Eva Marie Sanders and Glenn Sanders. great grandmother Nola Sanders, uncles Dewayne Hurd, Arthur Jude, and Porfiro Galapon, aunt Pamela Sanders Galapon, and step sister Kayla Acord. Survivors include his loving wife of 4 years Arielle Yvonne Shepherd Jude, four daughters Adalee Jude, Rebecca Jude, Courtney Jude and Makayla Jude, step son Gage Shepherd and son Ivan Cook, a sister Jessica (Bobby) Crouse, step sisters Misty (Clifton) Brown and Crystal (Jeremy) Tilley, a step brother Scotty (Christy) Dishmon, his step mother Melinda K. Jude, Nephew Zackery ( Haylee) Crouse, Niece Alexis Crouse, and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday, December 16th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
