"Misty Dawn Clay Paynter, 46, of Cyclone, WV, left this world on Wednesday December 3, 2025 at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born October 21, 1979 in Bryant, OH, a daughter of the late Virgil and Anna Lou Copley Clay. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Leanna Paynter, her grandmother Irene Copley, sister Robin Clay, brother Cletis Clay, Jr., aunts and uncles Robert and Carol Copley and Ralph and Drema Copley, and a brother in law Robert Paynter. She was a member of Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist church and a loving wife, mother and friend. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 27 years Ralston Paynter, three daughters Havanna (Nathaniel Rowe) Paynter, Ashton Paynter and Jasmine Paynter, father and mother in law Gary Paynter and Delma Paynter, who was also her caretaker, a sister Tina Paynter, two brothers Shawn Clay and Jerry (Jeannie) Clay, nieces Brandi Clay, Brittney Clay, Lora (Matt) Sanders, Brianna (Lucas) Toler, and Lindsy Paynter, nephews BJ Cline, Kevin Lilly, and Tre Paynter, brother in laws Gary (Tonya) Paynter, Jr. and Matthew (Brandi) Paynter, a special friend Crystal Blankenship, and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday December 10, 2025 at the Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, Huff Creek., with Rev. Scotty Lusk officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 5:00 - 8:00 on Tuesday evening in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. Burial will be in Browns Cemetery, Cyclone, WV.
