"Linda Sue Phillips, 78, of Beckley, WV passed away Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on August 29th, 1947, in Brier Creek, WV a daughter of the late Robert and Lizzy Stone Short. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Phillips, her three brothers, Robert Short Jr., James Short and Edison Short, and a sister Polly Merritt. She is survived by her daughter, Liz Vance, and her husband Richard of Beckley, two grandchildren that she loved dearly, Richard Aden Vance of Beckley and Savannah Vance of Beckley, her sister Lola Morgan of Salem, Oregon, and a host of other loving family and friends. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and there will be no service. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."

"Jeffrey Allen Blankenship, 56, of Pineville, WV passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025 at Wyoming Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by family. He was born on August 15, 1969 in Beckley, WV a son of the late Gary and Loretta “Jo” Royal Blankenship. Jeffrey was a United States Air Force Veteran. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Elliot and Pansy Blankenship, and maternal grandparents, Paula and Ida Royal. Surviving relatives include, a brother Joey (Pam) Blankenship of Pineville, a sister, Jennifer (Jamie) Walker of Pineville, his daughter Tashauna (Roger) Strong of Boston Massachusetts, grandchildren Nolan and Declan Strong, nephews Joshua and Tyler Blankenship, Ethan Hatfield, and Jace Walker, nieces Allyson McKinney, and Jailey and Jaiden Walker, great nieces and nephew, Addison, Baylee, and Kenlee Blankenship, and Jett McKinney, and a host of other loving family and friends. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV".
