"Robert Carroll Dyke, 81 of Bud, WV passed away Monday, October 20, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born February 29, 1944 in Oceana, WV a son of the late Fred Averel and Etta Lillian Acord Dyke. Robert was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, a member of the UMWA, and a proud West Virginia Coal Miner. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Harris Blankenship and Tommy Dyke, and his sisters Connie White, Linda Rose, and Charlotte Brown. Those left cherish his memory include his loving wife of 60 years Betty Dyke, his daughters Angie Jessie and husband Johnny of Bud, WV, Pamela Montgomery and husband Larry of Mullens, and a honorary daughter Kimberly Runyon and husband Charlie Runyon of Alderson, WV, grandchildren Savannah Richardson of Waxhaw, NC, Nicole Rosas of Marshville, NC, Zacheriah Brown of Sequin, TX, Lyndsey Cline of Sun Hill, WV, and Tonya Cline of Bud, WV, great grandchildren Skylar Cline, Tristen Swinson, Alivia Swinson, and Oliver Rosas, sister Jenny Harvey of Boone, and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 12pm on Monday, October 27, in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Louise Blankenship officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 11am until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. The Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard will be conducting military rites. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV"
