"Brady Alton Hood, born in Wichita, KS on July 3, 1953, passed away on October 1, 2025 after a hard-fought battle with stage 4 Colon Cancer, leaving a legacy of love and devotion to his family. A native of southwestern, Kansas, Brady grew up with an innate connection to the land, embracing both farming and ranching with enthusiasm and dedication."In his pursuit of education, Brady earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting, a testament to his commitment to personal growth and learning. However, it was his role as a father and grandfather that truly defined him. Brady was the proud father of six children and delighted in being a grandfather to five grandchildren. The joy he found in rocking his children and grandchildren to sleep remains among the cherished memories that colored his life. He also had a special relationship with his niece Gracelyn Sharp who he referred to as #4, for being his fourth daughter.
"Brady's love for sports, particularly the Kansas Jayhawks, was a vibrant part of his life. He was a passionate fan who relished watching games, especially when joined by his three sons. These moments of shared enthusiasm and camaraderie were a testament to the strong bonds he fostered within his family.
"Brady held a strong faith and had recently rededicated his life to his Lord and Savior. His strongest wish is that any of his loved ones would become believers and join him in Heaven one day.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mary Jacquelyn Hood (Copeland) and Brady Alfred Hood, Grandfather Everette Copeland, special niece Paige Nichole Estes (Johnson), father-in-law Kevin Sharp. He is survived by his 3 siblings Everette Leigh Hood (Lisa) Olathe, KS Ralph Glenn Hood Denver CO & Beverly Ann Kreutzer (Hood) Bucklin, KS. His wife of 19 years Kimberly Hood (Sharp), His 6 kids, Brady Allen Hood (Roxana “Patty”) Cypress TX, Bryce Alexander Hood (Radona) Jenks OK, Kevin Hunter Hood Rich Creek, VA, Cheyenne Marie Hood Rich Creek, VA , Mariah Grace Hood Rich Creek, VA, Aryanna Jacquelyn Hood Rich Creek, VA and his 5 grandkids Alexander James (A.J.)
