He was born on April 13, 1955 in Matney Town, WV a son of the late Claude and Evelina Price Ritchie. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters Loretta Tilley, and Esther Toler, two brothers James Ritchie and Roy Hamilton, three nieces Peggy Vance, Kelly Cozort, Eva Ritchie, and three nephews Christopher Ritchie, Michael Tilley, and Waymon Tilley.
