"Richard “Ricky” Wayne Hill, 64, of Ravencliff, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at his home. He was born on June 12, 1961 in Beckley, WV a son of Audra Lehman Mastrippolito of MacArthur and the late Richard Hill. He loved going to church, singing, playing his guitar, fishing and camping. He attended the Ravencliff Church of God of Prophecy and the Rock View Pentecostal Tabernacle. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister Tammy Harless, a brother Angelo Mastrippolito, maternal grandparents William and Blanche Lehman, paternal grandparents George Hill and Irene Bradley, step grandfather’s Charlie Bradley and Roy L. Harless, II and his mother and father-in-law Roger and Judy Pettry. In addition to his mother, survivors include his step father Angelo Mastrippolito of MacArthur, his earthly wife of 33 years Geraldine Pettry, a daughter Romona Pettry of Ravencliff, a son Adam Pettry and companion Cathy Simmons of Ravencliff, daughter who he raised as his own Stephanie Ferguson and husband Justin and her kids Khloey, Jayden and Miley Ferguson of Ravencliff, a sister Michelle Farley and husband James of Hinton, a sisters-in-law Sheryl Wesley and companion Timmy Tilley of Jesse, Faye and Randy Adkins of Stokesdale, NC, Cathy Brooks and companion Hurley Mullins of Beckley, Thelma Sizemore of Ravencliff, Pansy Pettry and her companion Greg Fortner of Ravencliff, Linda McMillion and husband Jimmy of Ravencliff, and Melissa Greer and husband Chris of Ravencliff, two cousins who resided with him, Bonita and Amber Robertson, his special niece who helped out Isabella Greer and Kendra Johnson and husband Zack, and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends. The family would like to send a special Thank You to Jackie Shorter, Centerwell Hospice, Ashley and Randy Tilley, and Sierra Tilley. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, September 27th at the Ravencliff Church of God of Prophecy, Ravencliff, WV with Rev. Paul Manning officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Ravencliff, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Saturday at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."
