"Lacy Wayman Toler, 78 of Coal Mountain, departed this life Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from Charleston Area Medical Center, General Division."Born March 28, 1936 at Leatherwood, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bessie (Belcher) Toler.
"In addition to his parents, Lacy was also preceded in death by his wife: Fredia Toler; his son: Joey James Toler; his granddaughter: Tamari Marie Browning; his sisters: Nancy Vance, Edna May Bunn, and Freda Hatfield; his brothers: Brady, Tracy, Virgil, Peanut and Odell Toler.
"Lacy was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, he loved digging ginsing and roaming around in the mountains and gardening, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a member of the Micco Church of Jesus.
"Those left to love and cherish his memory are his son: Lacy (Latasha) Toler; his daughters: Joann (Kent) Browning and Rose (Adam) Hatfield, all of Coal Mountain; sisters: Kay Bledsoe of Taplin, and Surha Walls of Verner; brothers: Harry Toler of Accoville, Pee Wee Toler of Logan, and Bill Toler of Rum Creek; his grandchildren: Lacy and Durik Hatfield, Faith Browning, Wayman, Skyler and Noah Toler; a host of other nieces and nephews, and other dear family and friends.

"In the stillness of the evening, with a voice so gentle that only she could hear, the Lord whispered for her to come home on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV. Joann Toler Browning, 60, of Coal Mountain, WV went home to be with the Lord. She was born on April 27, 1965 in Welch, WV a daughter of the late Lacy Wayman and Freda Marie Daughtery Toler. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Tamara Marie Browning. Survivors include her loving husband, Lloyd Kent Browning, a daughter Faith May and husband Dustin, two sons Wayman Toler and Lionel Browning, a step daughter Crystal Browning, her grandchildren, Brylee May “Maws Special Zean Bean”, Sidney Browning, Jonah Browning, and Olivia Browning, her siblings Lacy Toler and Rose Hatfield, nieces and nephews Durik Hatfield, Lacy Hatfield, Skylar Toler, Noah Toler and Ladayna Toler, and a host of other loving family and friends. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, September 30th at the Justice Tabernacle, Justice, WV with Rev. Raven Kennedy and Rev. Louie Vanover officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Skyline Cemetery, Justice, WV. Friends may gather with the family after 6 pm on Monday, September 29th at the church.
