"Phyllis Lorene Sizemore, 82, of Fairdale, WV passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 at her home. She was born on June 27, 1943 in Fairdale, WV. A daughter of the late William and Blanche Perry Alderman. Phyllis graduated as Salutatorian of her 1961 Class of Glen Rogers High School. She worked at the United States Pentagon and then worked for 32 years at the Glen Rogers PSD. Phyllis will forever be known for her incredible baking especially her Nanny Cookies. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Arnold Sizemore, sisters Betty Bailey and Mary Clay and a brother, Warren Alderman. Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Prichard and husband Jeff of Oceana and Tammy Covey and her husband Tommy of Fairdale three grandchildren, Kaylee Stewart and her husband Chris of Bolt, Emily Carte and her husband David of Oceana and Mark Covey of Fairdale. One great grandchild, Gracie Stewart two sisters, Jean Humphrey of Morehead City, NC and Margaret Phillips of Liverpool, NY and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Crossroads Community Church in Glen Daniel, WV with Pastor Wendy Graham officiating. She will be laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ravencliff, WV. Friends may gather with the family from Noon to the time of services on Friday, September 19, 2025 at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."
