"Arthur Andrew Jones Arthur Andrew Jones, 70, of Avondale died Friday, April 6, 2012 in Princeton Community Hospital, following a short illness. Arthur was born March 31, 1942, in Avondale, WV, a son of the late John Anderson and Mary Etta Addair Jones. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Church of God. He attended the Church of Christ and the Baptist Church in Bradshaw. He will be sadly missed by his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three sons, James Arthur Jones, Bobby Jones, and Ruben James Jones; three brothers, James Franklin Jones, Johnnie Harless Jones, and Carl Edmond Jones; and one grandson, Jonathan Jones. Survivors include his wife of thirty eight years, Cledith Irene Simpkins Jones of the home; five daughters, Velvia Hagerman of Hanover, Mary Lou Lowe of Garland, Linda Atwell of Lex, Pauline Atwell of Raysal, and Andrea Whitt of Avondale; five sons, Scotty Allen Jones of Raysal, John Anderson Jones of Avondale, Ellis Bradley Simpkins of Statesville, NC, Scott Andrew Jones of Bradshaw, and Jeremy Levi Jones of Iaeger; two sisters, Nannie Lou Walls and Lena Kay Jones both of Avondale; three brothers, Harvey Jones of Hagertown, MD, Donald Jones of Avondale, and Robert Jones of Statesville, NC; twenty five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
