"James Dewayne Muncy, age 52, passed away peacefully at home in Ikes Fork, WV, on June 29, 2026, surrounded by his family."He stoically battled cancer for the last five years with quiet strength.
"Born June 24, 1974, he attended school in Iaeger, WV, and was a truck driver who loved being in the cab of a coal truck and the sound of a diesel engine. He spent many hours fishing with his son Jacob, whom he loved more than he could express with words.
"Although some parts of his life were scarred, he was a very loving person who would help anyone in need. He sought God in January of 2026, and God mercifully gave him freedom from the heavy weight of sin that was causing him sorrow. He was able to say that he was ready to go to his heavenly home, and that brought such peace and comfort to him and his family.
"Dewayne was preceded in death by his parents, James and Imogene Muncy. He is survived by his wife Jeannie (Brooks) Muncy, his son Jacob Dewayne Muncy, stepdaughter Grace Franklin, and granddaughter Kamryn; his sister Angela (Bill) Davis; his niece Hope Davis and nephews Chris (Angelica) Davis, Mason, Ethan, and Kellan Davis; and a host of extended family.
"The family would like to thank the Hospice of Southern WV for their care and support during the last 6 months. Their help was invaluable, especially his nurses Dena, Shana, Jessica, and Heather, who were so kind and compassionate during their visits.

Born on January 19, 1970, in Grundy, Virginia, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Rosie May Blankenship."Patricia was a woman with a heart full of love and a sense of humor that lit up every room. She found simple joy in her favorite TV shows, especially Mike & Molly and The Steve Wilkos Show. More than anything, she was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend—titles she wore with pride and grace.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jean, and brother, Roger Blankenship.
