"Charles Sidney “Charlie” Collins passed away at his mother’s residence on March 10, 2025 in Roderfield, WV."Charlie was born on June 12, 1963 at the Clark’s Clinic of Iaeger, WV to Geneva Buchanan Collins and the late Sidney Collins. Charlie graduated from Iaeger Hish School in 1981. He then attended Concord College (now Concord University), where he was a member of the Pjhi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He graduated in December 1984 with a Bachelor’s Degree in hotel/motel management, with a minor in accounting. After graduation he had a long career in the accounting field. Accordingly, he was at various times, a resident of Fairfax County, VA, Orlando, FL, North Charleston, SC, and Elkview, WV.
"Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Collins, as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents.
"Survivors include his mother, Geneva Collins; siblings, Marcia Collins of Lakeland, FL, Valerie (Jeff) Matthews of Roderfield, Kelly (Kurt) Abraham of Houston, TX and Victoria Collins (Matthew Banish) of Spartanburg, SC; as well as a niece Stephanie (James) Childress of Bluefield, VA; great niece Corba Childress and great nephew Lyndon Childress along with several cousins.
