"Carolyn Ruth Tuell, 89, of Welch, WV, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, at McDowell Healthcare in Gary, WV. Born on July 24, 1935, in Asco, WV, she was the daughter of the late Okey Ray and Thelma Lambert Bishop. Carolyn’s life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion to family and friends."A beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, Carolyn was known for her kind spirit and gentle heart. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially working puzzles, a pastime that reflected her patience and sharp mind. A devoted member of Hemphill Methodist Church, she cherished her time worshiping, fellowshipping, and finding strength in her faith.
"In addition to her parents Carolyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Bradley Tuell; her sister, Vickie Barlow; and her granddaughter, LaDonna Yvonne Tuell.
"She leaves behind a legacy of love in her sons: Charles Tuell Jr. of Winchester, VA; Raymond Tuell and wife Annie Daniels of Welch, WV; and Timothy Tuell and wife Michelle Walton of Welch, WV. Her grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Denny of Gastonia, NC; Krystall Watkins of Weaverville, NC; Tiffany Walters and Timothy Tuell of Welch, WV, along with several great-grandchildren. Carolyn is also survived by her loving siblings: brothers Richard Bishop, Roger Bishop, and Phillip Bishop, all of Roanoke, VA; and her sister, Sharon Weaver of Bluefield, VA.
"Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

"Patricia was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She loved being outside, looking for ginseng, picking berries, and fishing, were some of her favorite things to do. Patricia enjoyed playing board games, painting, and decorating her home. The Joy of her life was her family, and she enjoyed spending any time that she could with them. Her loving kindness, and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all that knew her.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Nina Barrett.
"Those left to cherish her memory include: her loving husband of Fifty-Seven years, Robert G. Estep. Her three children: Jessica Farley of Point Pleasant, Lora Nichols and her husband Dwayne of Virginia, and Kathy Milam and her husband Tommy of Glen Fork.
