"Linda Keiling Douglas, 77, of Welch, WV, passed away Wednesday, February 5,2025 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia, following a short illness. Born April 6, 1947 in Welch, WV. She was the daughter of the late Ernest A. Keiling and Virginia Beard Keiling."She was the Owner and Operator of the Douglas Mortuary in Welch for 27 years, following the death of her husband. Linda grew up in Gary, WV and was a 1965 Gary High School Coal Digger graduate. She was married to the late Robert O. Douglas of Welch, WV and they were the proud parents of their only daughter, Jennifer Jane Douglas, of Beckley, WV.
"She served as a pioneer and leader in the community four decades as the first female president of the McDowell County Board of Education and a leader for equality in women’s sports with Title 9 giving girls equal opportunities to participate in sports, which brought girls softball to Mt. View High School in 1993.
"She thoroughly enjoyed her time coaching soccer and the Welch Stingrays Swim Team and she loved all of her swimmers. She loved all pets especially her dog Daisy and her late grand dog, Rosie.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Keiling Blasher; and a dear companion of many years Don Hagerman."In addition to her daughter she was survived by one twin sister, Sandra Keiling Rutledge of Morristown, Tennessee, and her employees that she referred to as her business family David Dash, Michael Brown and Richie Tankersley.

Born on March 18, 1956, in Welch, he was the son of the late Emmett and Tressie Green Hall."Bobby had a deep love for traveling across the United States and cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
