"Carl Shawn Parsons, 46, went home to be with the Lord on December 29, 2024. Born on April 2, 1978, Shawn was the son of William Carl “Peewee” Parsons and the late Janet Riffe. An avid outdoorsman, Shawn enjoyed hunting and fishing. He found relaxation by being on the river in his kayak. A dedicated man of God and provider for his family, Shawn worked for Nelson Brothers for twenty-three years and attended Sophia Church of God. Shawn loved WVU football but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family."In addition to his mother, Shawn was preceded in death by his grandparents: JL and Addie Riffe, and Virgil and Rita Parsons. One brother; Michael Parsons, and his father-in-law Bobby Day.
