"Mary Edith Muncy, 78, of Shop Hollow, Warriormine, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at her residence surrounded by family. Born November 28, 1945 in Welch, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Patton Barrett and Elsie Viola Brewster Barrett James. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by numerous siblings. She loved to sew and spend time with her family and friends."Left to cherish her memory is Burley Muncy, her loving and devoted husband of 60 years; and six children, Jimmy (Lisa) Muncy, Juanita (Ray) Hagerman, Charlie Muncy and his companion Robin, Walter (Kristena) Muncy, Sharon (Jimmy) Browning, Pam (Mike) Wallace; and ten grandchildren whom she loved very much; eight great grandchildren; and three great grand-angel babies.
"She is also survived by two sisters of the heart, Charlotte Shelton and Effie Collins; two special neighbors, Raymond and Debbie Hagerman and Steven and Brenda Hagerman.
"Funeral services will be held at True Light Church in Jesus Name, Shop Hollow on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Raymond Hagerman, officiating. Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery at Shop Hollow, Warriormine.

"Glenna Dale McCoy Muncy, age 60 of Warriormine, WV went home to be with Jesus Sunday, July 31, 2016. Born July 31, 1956 at Welch, WV, she was a daughter of Homer and Stella Muncy of Warriormine, WV. Glenna was a woman of great faith. She was beautiful and was the rock of her family. She was a homemaker and loved gardening, flowers, and her dogs. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Riley and Lucille England; paternal grandparents, Rosevelt and Mae Muncy; and nephews, Andy Prater and Cody McCoy."In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory include her companion, Rosevelt “Boo” Muncy; two sons, Paul Richard Muncy and wife, Becky and Robert Muncy and wife, Alyson all of Warriormine, WV; six grandchildren, Jacob, Amber, Arizona, Emanuel, Angel and Paul Muncy; four sisters, Celia Frye and husband, Jerry of Georgia, Debra McPeak and husband, Danny of Thompson Valley in Tazewell, VA, Shelly Nunley and husband, Anthony of Bluefield, WV, and Emma Shelton and husband, James of Warriormine, WV; three brothers, Timothy McCoy of North Carolina, Jeffrey McCoy and Homer Allen Muncy both of Warriormine, WV; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved very much.
