"Velma Lively Riffe, 80, of New Richmond, WV passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Wyoming Healthcare Center, New Richmond, WV. She was born on April 22, 1945 in Fayette County, WV a daughter of the late Golden Lively and Ruby Gwin Lively. Velma worked in Social Work as well as many other jobs. She did a lot of volunteer work in her county, as well as with the Boy Scouts. She helped many people. She played music in several counties and ran two music establishments in Mercer County. She played throughout Virginia and for three years at the Raleigh County Armory. Velma played many instruments, and helped many musicians to learn. She loved her audience and they loved her. Velma fought a hard battle in her dying process, but she no longer has to deal with that. We believe she is in a better place, Free of Pain. She is preceded in death by her parents "
