"Dennis really enjoyed anything sports related, gardening, making people laugh, spending time with his fur baby, Daisey and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.

"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lovis and Bruce Hughes and his paternal grandparents, Luster and Violet Lester and several aunts and uncles.

"Those left to cherish her memories are James Monk and Wilma Newman, both of Richmond, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and a special niece Crystal Hornbuckle, of Brier Creek, WV.

"Following the wishes of the deceased the body has been cremated and there will be no services.

"Frances was a homemaker and a member of the War Church of God.

"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Allen Senter Muncy; her twin brother Franklin and brothers, Charles Henry and Joe; her sisters, Ethel, Phyllis, and Hazel.

"Those left to cherish her memories are one son, Joseph Ervin of War; daughters, Shirley Gross of Wytheville, VA, Jennifer Saunders of Gary, WV, Dreama Darlene Muncy of Bishop, VA, Frances Marie Senter of Caretta, WV and Samantha Lynn Keller of Charleston, WV; many grandchildren including two special grandchildren, Kalab Chandler Muncy and Delena Muncy.

"Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 12:30 PM from the Little Country Church in War with Pastor Mary Boyd, officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Creek Hollow Cemetery in War, WV.

"Born November 2, 1960, in Lenore, NC, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Lovejoy and Wanda McGee Lovejoy.

"Ivy loved being a nurse and taking care of people. She was an herbalist and enjoyed gardening. She absolutely loved camping at Red Rock Campground in Forrest Hill.

"In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her daughter, Jessica Adkins; two grandchildren, Karson and Brooklyn; her mother and father-in-law, Estel and Maggie Adkins; and her great-grandmother, Lois Ellis.

"Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of forty-five years, Estel Adkins, Jr; four children, Jamie Roberts and husband Tracy, Josh Adkins, Jaclyn Adkins and Julie Stevens and husband Luke; eleven grandchildren, Katlyn Perry and husband Matthew, Tracy Roberts Jr, Matthew Adkins, Chase Osborne, Rylan Adkins, Keegan and Kaylee Graley, Kinsley Cline, Wade Stevens, Willow Stevens and Westin Stevens; three great-grandchildren, Tucker Perry, Westin Adkins and Whitley Adkins; a brother, Jeff Lovejoy; a sister, Jennifer Sizemore; and special friends, whom she loved as family, Eva Wayman, Frankie Wayman, Dawn and Kylie Wayman and the Rev.
