"Kathleen Jones-Richmond died on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Aperion Nursing Home in Evanston, IL. She suffered through dementia before her heart attack. A strong and determined woman, she ventured out to begin her career when someone mistook her name as "Katherine." She liked that name better, so she adopted it as her given name and later became known as "Kat" to those close to her.

"After a few years in Virginia with her husband, the late Ernest Richmond (1926-Deceased), whom she married on November 21, 1947 in Bradshaw, McDowell County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, McDowell County, WV, 1947, Page 470, Application Date: November 17, 1947), they moved to Chicago to raise their boys. Kat loved Chicago. She was an entrepreneur who owned and operated a bar, beauty salon and an apartment building

"Kathleen Richmond was born August 22, 1931, in a small coal mining town in West Virginia to David "Dave" D. Jones (1893-Deceased) and Daisy Mae Riffe-Riffe-Jones (1900-1984). In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Noah Jones (1918-1980) of Chicago, David Carl "DC" Jones (1929-1991) of Welch, WV, Gleason Earl Jones (1927-1937) and infant twins, Troygene Jones (1938-1938) and Ernestine Jones (1938-1938); and two sisters, Claudine Jones-Dawson (1924-1979) of Bradshaw, WV, and Lucille Jones-Stout-Thompson (1935-Deceased) of Chicago; five sons, Danny Richmond Sr. (Deceased), Randall Richmond (Deceased), Larry Richmond (Deceased), Donald Richmond (Deceased) and David Richmond (Deceased); a grandson, Danny Richmond Jr. (Deceased); and a loving friend, Valerie Fulkerson (Deceased) all of Chicago.

"Remaining are her daughter-in-law, Lynn Richmond; five grandchildren, Larry Richmond Jr. of Plainfield, IL, Candice Truett of Woodridge, IL, Chrissy Herrera & husband Michael Herrera of Chicago, Teresa Rouse & husband Lonnie Rouse of Round Lake, IL, Larissa Griesmeyer & husband Brian Griesmeyer of Schiller Park, IL; seven great-grandchildren; and seven nieces.

Jackie was born April 21, 1940, in Hazzard, KY, a son of the late Jim and Melda Dotson Daugherty. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Jackie was a retired coal miner of 30 plus years. He had a great love for music and loved playing his guitar and singing for the Lord. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and James Daugherty and one sister, Loreen Daugherty Bolden. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Eunice Mullins Daugherty of the home; three sons, Ricky Daugherty and wife Karen and Marty Daugherty and wife Delphine all of Iaeger, WV, and Jamie Daugherty and wife Crystal of Premier, WV; three granddaughters, Jessica Kennedy, Angela Pistorius, and Candie Lester all of Iaeger, WV; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. "Dale was born August 28, 1962 in Iaeger, WV, a son of the late Willie (Bud) and Dorothy Justice Matney. Dale was a beloved husband, father, and friend who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone who needed it. He was the most hardworking, loving father who gave all that he could give to his wife, kids and especially his grandkids. Dale and Sandy have a love for one another that transcends time. We knew that when they saw each other again that they would never let go. They will be dancing together in Heaven.
