following a rigorous battle with cancer. She was born on July 16, 1947 in Mullens, WV a daughter of the late
James Carl and Rachel Shortridge Salyer. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband
of 43 years George Shockey "Shock" Prillaman; and a brother Edward Salyer. Survivors include a daughter
Rachel Susan Prillaman of Oceana; a son Reuben James Prillaman and wife Michelle of Oceana; a sister Mary
Alfrey of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; two brothers Grover Clinton (Sofia) Salyer of Houston, TX and Ira Carl Salyer
of Hattiesburg, MS; Five grandchildren Brianna Prillaman, Gabby Prillaman, Aaron Hoosier, Olivia Hoosier
and Ashley Blevins; her pet dog Dimples; and a host of other loving family and friends. A dinner in
celebration of her life will be held from 6-8:00 PM on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Westside High

He was born on February 28, 1931 in Clear Fork, WV a son of the late William "Bill" and Lena Hill Brunty. Guy is a United States Army Korean War Veteran and a member of the UMWA. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Nora Lee Maynard Brunty a great grandson Gavin Cook and four brothers Ross, Max, Jess, and Andy Brunty. Survivors include his three sons Guy R.
