"Betty was a member of the Pineville Church of the Nazarene. She was previously employed by FEMA, 7-11, and Calfee Funeral Service. Betty loved spending time with her family and her cats.
"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Turnmire, and her sister Joyce Sizemore.
"Those left to cherish her memory include her three children: Janice Binion of Mullens, Cheryl Ellis and her husband James of Mannington, and Jarrell King of Pineville. Three grandchildren: Matt Binion of Mullens, Jay Ellis of Clay, and Tayler Ball of Statesville North Carolina. Her brothers and sisters: Norma Shumate of Ravencliff, Barbara Sizemore and husband Denver of Fayetteville North Carolina, and Danny Brown and his wife Patty of Ravencliff, and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
"Services celebrating the life of Betty Turnmire will be held Sunday March 19, 2017 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Evans-Calfee Funeral Service in Pineville, with her son-in-law Pastor James Ellis officiating.
"Betty will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley in a private committal service on Monday.
