Mildred was born January 27, 1938 to the late John H. and Ira Mae Hooker Addair. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Concord College (University) and began her teaching career at the former Crumpler and Raysal Elementary Schools in McDowell County. In 1960, she began teaching in Fairfax County, VA and retired there in 1990 with thirty years service. Mildred will be remembered for her life long devotion to her family, dedication to her teaching profession, her willingness to help friends and neighbors, her creativity, keen sense of humor and outgoing personality. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Murensky formerly of Bartley and a retired teacher; brothers Robert Grayson Addair and Jack Douglas Addair, Sr.; niece Michelle Vinciguerra, nephews Jack Douglas Addair, Jr. and Joey Murensky; father and mother-in-law Adam and Clara Murensky. She is survived by daughter, Cathie Murensky and husband Robert Manard of Lakewood, CO; son, Mark Murensky of Winterville, NC; grandchildren Nicole Manard, Josh and Jake Murensky; brother Joseph Addair and wife Gail of Bandon, OR; sisters Joyce Vinciguerra of Ashland, KY, Linda Perdue and husband Richard of Roanoke, VA, Wanda Crawford of Huntington, WV and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5121 Woodland Way, Annandale, VA with Father John M. O'Donohue officiating. Ona graduated from Iaeger High School in 1949. On September 15, 1951, she married Benny Steele of Iaeger WV who preceded her in death on Dec 26, 1998.

"In addition to her parents and husband, Ona was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Eli Muncy, Louis Muncy, Charlie Muncy and John Calvin Muncy; a special brother, Noah Blankenship and a sister Bertha Muncy(Richards) .
"Ona is survived by her daughter, Debbie Steele Lucas (Lonnie) of Calabash, NC; and two granddaughters, Kelly (Geff) Whitt of Charlotte, N.C. and Amy Reed of Calabash, N.C. She was a proud great grandmother to Jenna Prince (Jacob), Ty Whitt and Ayden and Avery Reed; and a great-great grandmother to Ruthie Prince. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

"Nellie Ruth Steele, 83, of Premier, WV passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024 at McDowell Health Care Center in Gary, WV. Nelliw was born on February 2, 1941, in Iaeger, WV a daughter of the late Charlie England and Grace Davis England."Nellie was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who brought joy to all who knew her. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, taking walks, and cherishing time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love for family was evident in everything she did.
"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elbert Steele; her sons, Danny Ray Steele, Harry Steele, and Elbert Steele Jr.; four brothers; and three sisters.
"Nellie is survived by her daughters, Mary Deskins and husband Albert (Abby), and Candy Shirley and husband Donald. She also leaves behind 31 cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of her life. She is also survived by two special daughters-in-law, Patricia Steele and Blaine Steele, as well as a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
