"Beatrice Adkins Young, age 89, of Russellville, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 6, 2004 at Stella Manor Nursing Center in Russellville. She was born March 20, 1914, at Avondale, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Henry Cleveland and Bessie Adkins. She was the widow of William Warren Young, M. D., and she was a retired Registered Nurse. She was a graduate of University of Virginia School of Nursing, a member of the American Society of Nursing, the Kentucky Society of Nursing and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, in Russellville. Other than her parents, two brothers, Homer Faris and Frank Adkins and a sister, Lois Giles, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, W. Patrick and Ann Young of Russellville; two brothers, Kern Adkins of Corbin, Kentucky and Asa Adkins of Dublin, Virginia; a sister, Claudia Turner of Kingsport, Tennessee; two grandchildren, William Warren Young, II of Pineville, Kentucky and Windy Dawn Hunter of Ft. Knox, Kentucky; and a great grandchild, Maylan Marissa Hunter of Ft. Knox.
Graveside service and burial held in Pineville Memorial Cemetery, Pineville, Kentucky, Saturday, March 13, 2004.
The body was cremated, with local arrangements by Shinn Funeral Service, of Russellville, AR"
