"Zeb Allen Sr., 87, went home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2013 while a patient at the Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born May 30, 1926 at Paynesville, the son of the late Elias and Lucy Jane Hall Allen. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Blankenship Allen, children, Linda Allen Underwood, Kenneth Allen, Jerry Allen and Rocky Allen, sisters, Martha Muncy, Patty Blankenship and Alice Mitchell, brothers, Sherman, Shirles, Ellis, Elias Jr. and Bob Allen, grandchild, Lobo Allen. Zeb was a retired truck driver. His survivors include his sons, Zeb (Jean) Allen Jr., Christopher Allen, Johnny (Carol) Davis, Ronald Allen and Donald (Rena) Allen, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a great- great-grandchild. Many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday evening at 7 p.m. at the Pine Creek Freewill Baptist Church July 28, 2013. Visitation will be at the church after 6 p.m. Saturday evening with services starting at 7:00pm. Burial will follow on Monday at the Blankenship Cemetery at Paynesville, with pallbearers being, Zeb Jr., Kenneth Jr., Tommy Jude, Donald Allen and Ronald Allen.
