"Hobert Mullins, 66, of Paynesville, WV, passed away January 2, 2019, at his residence with his family by his side."Hobert was born in Paynesville, WV, February 25, 1952, a son of the late Cecil and Evia Kennedy Mullins. He was a heavy equipment operator, truck driver and logger. Hobert was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith; he was a hard-working man for his family and loved them dearly.
"In addition to his parents he preceded in death by a daughter, Candance Marie; two brothers, Chester and Coburn Mullins; two sisters, Hester and Sadie Mullins; and his father and mother-in-law, Will and Pebble Day.
"Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Connie Sue Day Mullins of the home; two daughters, Denise Dawson of the home and Missy Jackson and husband Greg of Patterson, VA; two special grandsons, whom he loved dearly and were the light of his life, Ryan Dawson and girlfriend, Kelsey Hopkins and Austin Jackson; one brother, Joe Grizzel and wife Sandra of Princeton, WV; one sister, Sylvia Day and husband Curtis of Asheboro, NC, and his little dog Laney Bug; special brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Betty Day. Hobert had a lot of friends and family who will miss him.
