2019. He was born on July 5, 1934 in Rossman, WV a son of the late Charley Clyde Stepp and Alpha Paynter
Stepp. He was a member of the Matheny Church of God. He graduated from Oceana High School in 1953.
He faithfully attended his class reunions until his death. He worked 36 years for Eastern Associated Coal at
the Kopperston #2 mines. He also was the owner of Stepp's Rentals and the Matheny Market. He enjoyed
hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Ella Jane
Stepp; his brothers Johnny Stepp and James Stepp; and his sisters Betty Acord Sigmon and Sue Roberts.
Survivors include a daughter Sherry Stepp; two sons David (Cindy) Stepp and Micah (Michelle) Stepp; a
brother Harold (Carole) Stepp; five grandchildren Aaron (Joni) Stepp, Ashley Hatfield, Ava Stepp, Sophia
Stepp and Jeremy Stepp; a great granddaughter Kenley Janae' Hatfield; and a host of other loving family
and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday August 11th at the Matheny Church of God
with Pastor Jerry Graham and Bishop Randy Bowles officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial
