Betty was the first Curb Girl in Wyoming county, working for her brother at Johnny’s Drive In.

Her brother, Jay Holsinger also preceded her in death.
"She was a retired school teacher working for the Wyoming and Mason County Boards of Education with twenty-one years of service. She was a member of the West Ripley Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, poetry and spending time with her grandchildren.
"Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Darrell Allen Riffe; sons, Vincent R. (Stacy) Riffe of Ripley, Anthoney L. Christine is a member of UMWA having worked for US Steel and she worked for Dominion Gas.
