"Earnest Aaron Roberts, 84 of Avondale WV, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on February 19, 2022."Aaron was born October 3, 1937 to the late Treavor and Laura Roberts. In addition to his parents
"Aaron was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Roberts; one sister, Laverne Roberts; three brothers, Brooks Roberts, Tommy Roberts, and Ellis Roberts; and one grandson, Lil. Aaron Roberts.
Aaron was a US Navy Veteran. He was an avid deer hunter and loved going to flea markets. He was always outside and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Aaron was of the Pentecostal faith and a long-time active member of the Avondale Independent Church of God."Those left to cherish his memory; his wife of 63 years Mary Hankins Roberts of Avondale, WV; three daughters, Lorraine (Don) Jones of Avondale, WV, Ellen (Junior) Stinson of Bradshaw, WV, Marie (Ronnie) Bowles of Lexington, NC; one son, Earnest L Roberts of Avondale WV; one brother, Leslie Roberts of Sandborn, IN; four sisters, Avon Ripple and Ocie Helton both of Beckley, WV, Kathleen (Herman) Dawson of Mullens, WV and Data (Bob) Jones of Avondale, WV; one sister-in-law, Kathleen Stinson of Hickory NC; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. "Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 1 o’clock with Reverend Danny Bowles, Reverend John Wheeler and Reverend Freddy Dawson officiating at the Independent Church of God in Avondale, WV. Burial will follow in the Mullins Cemetery on Crane Ridge near Avondale, WV.
