"He was preceded in death by six brothers; a sister; and two grandchildren.

"Pauline was a charter member of Brenton Church of God. She loved her family and was very active in her community and visiting other churches to sing. She also prepared food for the community and worked in the church food program. She worked for the postal system for several years where she retired as assistant postmaster. She enjoyed traveling and visited Israel on one of her many trips.

"Helen P. “Shorty” Mitchell, 84, of Roderfield WV, was granted her wings on Friday, May 24, 2019 at McDowell Nursing and Rehabilitation in Gary WV surrounded by her loving family. Born, August 13, 1934, in Kimball WV she was the daughter of the late William and Hallie Peaks England.She was a member of the Baptist Faith. She devoted her life to her Faith and Family. She was a very loving wife, momma, and grandmother, she was always trying to nurture others.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her soul mate and Loving husband Fon Mitchell, sisters, Virginia Henderson, June Eanes, Lorie Deitzan, Audrey St John, brothers, Robert Bobby England, Eddie and Freddie England, Jackie England.Survivors include, three cherished children, Fonda Walker and husband Donnie of Roderfield, WV, Billy Mitchell of Charlotte N.C., Diana Hanshaw and husband Randy of Roderfield WV, seven grandchildren, Crystal, Me-Me, Donnie Ray, Randilyn, Ashlee, Krista and Nick; great grandchildren, Katelyn, Kristopher, Emalee, David, and Krislyn, Bain, Laurali, Avery, Gatlin.
