"Robert E. "Buddy" Repass, 84, of Oceana, WV, entered into eternal life with his Lord and Savior, with his family by his side, on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Bower's Hospice House, Beckley, WV. Buddy was a coal miner for 43 1/2 years; a member of the UMWA and a member of the Campus Church of God."He was born on March 9, 1931, in McComas, WV, a son of the late Joel "Henry" Repass (1890-1956) and Barbara Ellen Earl-Repass (1891-1973). In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years Joeann Goodman-Repass (1935-2014) whom he married on October 8, 1955 in Oceana, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1955, Page 40, Application Date: October 1, 1955); four brothers George B. Repass (1917-1971), William "Bill" Walter Repass (1919-1965), Cameron Repass (1924-1991), and Archie Dehard Repass (1927-1981); three sisters Mary Repass-Cook (1913-1981), Virginia Repass (Deceased) and Clara M. Repass-Brown (1921-1998).
"Survivors include a daughter Louise Repass-Cook and Denny Cook of Oceana; two sons Robert Repass and Tammy Repass and Frankie Repass all of Oceana; five grandchildren Jeanese and Eddie Green, Misty and Gene Coleman, Rebecca Repass and companion Homer, Jessica and Ben Cook and Robert, Jr. and Kelly Repass; nine great grandchildren Chris, Nick, Cheyenne, Jacob, Tamara, Jace, Hendrix, Bentley and Seraphina; a sister, Barbara "Ann" Repass-Santmyer (1929-2019); and a host of other loving family and friends.
