"Sunday, March 11, 2007 -- Mary Ann Adams Poplin, 74, of 3771 Barnhardt Road, Albemarle, died at 11:08 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Presbyterian Hospital Main in Charlotte.
Her service will be at 7 p.m. Monday in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Jeremy Blake will officiate and the family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
Born Aug. 13, 1932, in McDowell County, W.Va, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Georgia Adams and was a retired knitter. She enjoyed her family, working crossword puzzles and reading.
Her husband, Martin Junior "Dick" Poplin a son, Eddie Martin "Mickey" Poplin, and a daughter Marilyn Jeane Poplin, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son Gary Gene "Doggie" Poplin of 324 Belmont Circle, Albemarle, where the family will make headquarters; two daughters, Patty Poplin of Albemarle and Lori Ann Hatley of Norwood; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
