"* Bailey, Ingram, 81. died Tuesday in a Beckley hospital after a long illness. Born March 4, 1895, in Mercer County, he was a son of the late W.C. and Macallia Meadows Bailey. He was a retired coal miner, having worked in the mines for 47 years, was a veteran of World War I, was a member of the United Mine Workers Local 7604. Survivors include his wife Hattie Ann Canterbury Bailey; three sons, Seldon Bailey of Kopperston, Bernard of Oceana and Jack of Chandler, Arizona; five brothers, Kelly of Massachusetts, Dee of Princeton, Gilbert of Spanishburg, Alton of Rock and George of Way Cross, Ga.; five sisters, Mrs. Minnie Farley and Mrs. Toddie Schultz, both of Princeton, Mrs. Nora Agee of Fireco, Mrs. Eulah Adkins of Huntington and Miss Vada Bailey of Bluefield; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny. [ Beckley Post-Herald (only date known is 1976)]"
