"Ronald "Hop" Newton Hopkins
Sr. of Landgraff, WV. departed his
life surrounded by his family on
Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Better know
as “Hop" he was bom March 21,
1947 in Welch, WV. and was the son
of the late Robert Lee Hopkins and
Myrtle Elizabeth Burks Hopkins.
"Hop ‘was a 1965 graduate of Kim—
ball High School. Upon graduation,
he immediately joined the United
States Air Force, then drafted to the
Vietnam War. He served from May
6, 1966 to February 8, 1975. After
retiring from the Military, he worked
for the Refine Sugar Corp. in Yon—
kers, NY. where he also retired in
1992; He returned home to North-
fork, WV to care for his parents. Hop
became very active in the commu-
nity and schools serving as a father
figure to many. He was a member of
the ‘Emmanuel Tabernacle Baptist
Church іп Norwood/Kimball, WV.
"Other than his parents, Hop was
preceded in death by two sisters,
Gerline Cheeks and Rosetta Hop-
kins. Special niece. Glendora Wood-
son and his beloved granddaughter,
Starasia Lewis.
"Those left to cherish his memo—
ry are, his loving and devoted wife
of 42 years. Priscilla Hopkins. His
children, Wayne Hopkins and wife
Tamara, Marcelino "Max" Edwards
and wife Scherrie Edwards, Makiba
Hopkins, Sharonnia Osayaba and
husband Babatu Osayaba. Robert
“Monty" Hopkins. Ronald "Strcreh"
Hopkins and Elizabeth "Lizzie"
Hopkins. Special grandchildren: De

blessed with 21 grandchildren and

Monday, June 22, 2020 at the Rest
Haven Cemetery Mausoleum with
Rev. William Spencer officiating at

conducted by the Mercer County
Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers
will be family and friends. Social
Distancing and mask recommend.

"Rosa “Belle” Reed, 82, went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 26, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

"She was born April 11, 1938 in Key Rock, WV, to the late John L. Stewart and Lettie McMillion Stewart.

"Belle spent many years as a Teacher’s Aide for the Wyoming County Board of Education. She worked at several different schools throughout her career before her retirement. She was dearly loved by all.

"She was a member of Rockcastle Baptist Church where she was a longtime member of the choir. She absolutely loved singing and cherished the fellowship time spent with her church family. She was never happier than when she was in God’s house.

"In addition to her parents a host of family members preceded her in death.

"She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of sixty five years, Warren Reed; her son, Keith Reed and his wife, Andrea; her daughter, Rhonda Reed and her companion, Syrus ; several siblings; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and countless friends."

"She was born in Welch, West Virginia and was the daughter of Betty Dawson Deskins Mullins of Bradshaw, West Virginia and the late Raymond Deskins. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending church at the Family Worship Center of Jolo, West Virginia where she was a member. She worked many years for McDowell County Board of Education. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one son, Lewis James Lauderback, Jr.
