"William Babb was married four times. Wife #1 was Mary Martha Gilliam, daughter of Richard and Mary "Polly" Gilliam. They were married 25 Jun 1873. Mary Martha's death reported to Scott County Death Records by her neighbor H. T. McClellan. Wife #2 was Elizabeth Horn, parents unknown. They were married on 28 Apr 1883. This is odd in that the reported date of the death of 1st wife Mary Gilliam was 30 Apr 1983? I suspect that her death was actually earlier than reported. Wife #3 was Almeda Grace, Daughter of Jesse Grace and Mary A. Bass. She married William Babb following the death of Elizabeth Horn about 1890. Elizabeth Horn is beleived to have died about 1890. Almeda was the mother of James W. Grace but his father is unknown. Wife #4 was Elzia Rhoton who's mother and father were Hezekiak M. Rhoton and Judith Wade. They were married 18 Aug 1910. She lived beyond the death of William and passed away 19 Feb 1933.
His last wife Eliza Rhoton is confirmd to be butied here by Death Certificate but I believe that the other three are buried here as well."
