Hospital. He was born on January 13, 1944 in Pineville, WV, a son of the late Coy Eugene and Sophia Ella Belcher
Shelton. Douglas was a member of the Mill Creek Freewill Baptist Church and was a retired timber cutter. In
addition to his parents he is preceded in death by son Douglas Walter "June Bug" Shelton, Jr.; step-daughter
Leann Richmond; son-in-law Toby Cox; two sisters Charlotte Holcomb and Helen Belcher; step-mother Opal
Shelton; and daughter-in-law Judy Shelton. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Pamela Gaye
Barber Shelton; daughters Jackie (Jay) Aurand of Talmage, KS and Vickie (Larry) Acord of Glen Fork; step-sons
Bryan Acord and Joshua Stewart both of Beckley; brother Coy Eugene Smith of Logan County; grandchildren
Tanya Cox, Cory Stangel, Diedre (Seth) Stout, Tara Wilson, Douglas Quinton Shelton, Kayla Stewart, Jacob

Hospital. He was born on April 20, 1945 in Kopperston, WV, a son of the late Charles Malcolm "Mack" and Elsie
Spriggs Childers. Charles was a minister, a retired mine foreman and a US Army Veteran. In addition to his
parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Pennington Childers; a grandson Nathaniel Peyton
Childers; a brother Clarence "Bud" Childers; and a sister Mitzy Kellogg. Survivors include his sons Charles
Malcolm "Chuck" Childers, III and wife Donna of Oceana and Jimmy Childers and wife Kimberly of Thomasville,
NC; two sisters Alice Childers of Kopperston and Loretta Long of Montgomery; a brother Coy "Bo" Childers of
New York; seven grandchildren Tamara Leshay Childers, Jacob Malcolm Childers, Jace Repass, Lydia Childers,
Ashton Altizer, Brittney Altizer and Victoria Altizer; two great grandchildren Piper Gibson and Brantley Toler;

"Charles Randolph "Tinker" Bailey, Sr. 93, of Mullens, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at the VA Medical Center, Beckle"Born January 15, 1926 at Mullens, he was the son of the late Walter Nash and Edna Mae (Hughes) Bailey.
"Tinker was a lifelong resident of Mullens and active in his business, civic, social, and religious associations including the Mullens Masonic Lodge, Gideons, American Legion, and Mullens Area Chamber of Commerce.
"Tinker attended Mullens Public Schools until transferring to Greenbrier Military School prior to joining the Army 88th Division "Blue Devils" returning from WWII he attended General Motors Institute in order to manage the family business, Mullens Motor Company. After closing the business in the mid-1980s he was an insurance agent until he took retirement on his beloved farm near Alderson, WV and continued to manage the dealership buildings as Bailey Apartments until his death. Although throughout his lifetime he attended Presbyterian, Methodist, and Baptist churches, he remained true to his Presbyterian beliefs all of his life.
"In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by by his first wife, Janis Dooley Bailey and their only son, Charles R. Bailey, Jr.; three brothers, Donald P. Bailey, Ronald P. Bailey, and Nash "Babe" Bailey, Jr.; and his second wife, Barbara Kid Sikes Bailey, with whom he had no children.
"Those left to cherish his memory include his only daughter, Dana Bailey Long.
