Born March 25, 1922 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Snavely and Elizabeth Cook Snavely. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Snavely. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn A. Lowe, Pulaski, Mary R. Rupe, Blacksburg; four sisters, Dorothy Reece, Hillsville, Louise Robbins, Lancaster, KY, Jane Hurst, Salem, Rachel Conley, Stephenson, WV. He was employed as a security guard for Squeeze Security. He was a wonderful, loving son, companion, father and brother; and he was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan.

"Thirl Eldridge Deskinswas born July 8, 1930. He was.
the son, of George Smith and Evelyn Victoria Addair De-
skins, of Atwell Mountain. He married Ethel Johnson, on
December 29, 1952. Ethel, was born November 02, 1932.
They had five children: John Carson Deskins, born May
12, 1954, George Arthur Deskins, born January 30, 1956;
Earl Douglas Deskins, born April 30, 1957; Deborah Gay,
born September 18, 1960 and Mark Stanley Deskins,
born August 15, 1962.
Thirl had one step-daughter, Patricia Yvonne, born
September. 11, 1950. Thirl lived in and around Bartley
for many years before moving to Martinsville, Virginia.
