He was a member of the Justice Community Church and was very well known and loved. He loved church and volunteering.

"Myrtle was born January 25, 1922, in Lex, WV, a daughter of the William and Ocie Atwell. She was
a homemaker and a member of the Bradshaw Church of God. She was the last surviving member of
her original family.
"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bysha Winston in 1975; one daughter, Nancy Elizabeth; one sister, Bonnie Gross, and two brothers, Ed and Robert Atwell. Survivors include one son, Donald Winston and wife Pat of Belle, WV; one grandson, David Winston of Seattle, WA; two granddaughters, Michelle Casto and husband Eric of Pearland, TX, and Christie Donnell and husband Jason of Corpus Christi, TX; and one great granddaughter, Madison Schaney of Corpus Christi, TX.

"Mrs. Helen Jean Anderson Marion, age 79 of Millers Creek, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 3rd, 2017 at Lewis Fork Baptist Church Rev. Dwayne Andrews, Rev. Sherrill Wellborn and Pastor Joey Moore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Marion was born November 11, 1938 in McDowell County, WV to Cornelius “Big Bill” Anderson and Dora Ratliff Anderson. She was a member of Lewis Fork Baptist Church and retired from Peerless Hosiery. She was a dedicated member of the Wilkes Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary for 43 years and a Millers Creek Cub Scout Pack #399 Den Mother for 5 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters; Cathy Knight, Eunice Edsel, Nora Louise Anderson, Faye Riddle and two brothers; Jimmy Anderson and Oliver Anderson.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Bradford Marion, Sr. of the home, a daughter; Katherine Hogan-Wackerman and husband, Charles of Carthage, a son; Tony Marion, Jr. and wife Diane of Millers Creek, four grandchildren; Nikki Hogan of Lexington, Tiffany Cayton and husband Brandon of Millers Creek, Samantha Robinson and husband Andre of Wilmington, Erica Marion of Millers Creek, five great grandchildren; Micah, Ryker, Braylon, Kailee and Alicia, two sisters; Hilda Absher of North Wilkesboro and Joyce Roberts and husband Larry of Granite Falls and one brother; Leslie Anderson and wife Shirley of Walkerton. ..."
