"She had been a resident here for almost 20 years and was a member of Washington Assembly of God. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Mike and Carl Owens; her sister, Helen Cadie; and her grandson, Johnathon Otey.
"Mrs. Otey is survived by her children, Norma Cook and her hushand, David, Flora Goolsby and her husband, Dewitt, John Otey and his wife, Belle, Forest Otey and his wife Jo, Carol Armes and her husband, Ken; borthers, John Owens, Pat Owens, Raymond Owens, and Roy Owens; sisters, Nelda Otey and Ruth Cassell; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

"Danny Ray Pizzino, 74, of Glen Fork, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born on February 3, 1951 a son of the late John Burton “Burt” and Velma McGlothlin Pizzino. Danny attended the Rock Castle Baptist Church in Pineville, WV. He worked for over thirty years at various coal mines in several different positions and he was a member of the National Guard for six years and the UMWA. He graduated from Glen Rogers Hish School as well as Southern West Virginia Community College. He was a faithful friend to all who knew him and loved his family with a passion. He was an avid hunter and famous among his family for his deer jerky. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers Richard Pizzino and John Pizzino, Jr. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Glenda Pendry Pizzino and his two children that he was so proud of. A daughter Angela Ward and husband Roger, a son is Colonel Danny Pizzino, Jr., M.D. and wife Nicole Pizzino, two grandchildren that always made his day brighter, a grandson Benjamin Ward, a granddaughter Molly Ward, two sisters Deborah Hargis and Pamela Atkins, two sisters-in-law Edna Pizzino and Janice Pizzino, and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. His four special buddies that supported and loved him, Willis “Buzz” Workman, Matthew Murray, Eddie Miller and Michael Pizzino. He also leaves behind so many loving friends and family that will remember him as a person who loved to talk, hunt, travel, and brag on his family Pallbearers will be family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday, August 12th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Silas Mullins and Rev. Ron Harvey officiating. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated following the service. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."
