"Shelby Ann Haga Stapleton, 71, of Matheny, WV was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus and her eternal
Heavenly home on Tuesday February 18, 2020 at her home following a long illness. She was born on December 5,
1948 in Oceana, WV a daughter of the late Archie and Effie Pennington Haga. She was a wonderful Christian and
of the Pentecostal faith. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved her church, but due to illness she
couldn't attend often. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters Juanita Morgan and Ellen
Tiller; a brother Bruce Haga; and two infant brothers Mitchell and Wayne Haga. Those left to cherish her memory
are her loving husband of 52 years Doug Stapleton; her children Doug (Debbie) Stapleton, Jr. of Matheny, Angie
Riddles of Oceana, Heath (Candi) Stapleton of Forrest Hill; seven grandchildren Megan, Katy, Carrie, Gabe, Emily,
Blake, Piper; five great grandchildren Lila, Sam, Aubrey, Michael and Penny; five sisters Betty (Kenneth)
Sizemore, Eva (James) Lucus, Becky (Bennie) Stepp, Jenny (William) Lafferty and Annette (Kenny) Grimmett; a

family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday February 24th at the Pentecostal Church of
Rockview with Pastor Jason Perdue and Assistant Pastor Karen Jackson officiating. She will be laid to rest in
Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 5-8 pm on Sunday February
23rd at the church. Pallbearers will be Heath Stapleton, Kenny Grimmett, Bennie Stepp, Mark Stepp, Luke Stepp

"Dallas Augusta Maynard, 82, of Jesse, WV passed away on Saturday January 16, 2016 at the Bowers
Hospice House, Beckley, WV. She was born on June 2, 1933 in Naoma, WV a daughter of the late Alba and
Nello (Dickens) Hendricks. Dallas was a member of the Guyandotte Baptist Church of Jesse. She was a
devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, her daily puzzles, her
flower gardens and above all spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in
death by two brothers Eugene and Joe Hendricks; a daughter Edith Lusk; and a grandson Terry Wayne
Daniels. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 43 years Oliver Leo Maynard; her
children Frankie and Mary Canterbury of Oceana, Susan and Greg Sluss of Kopperston, Michael and Susie
