"Eunice Fay Edgell, 77, of Beartown, WV, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, in the Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC.

"Eunice was born May 22, 1944, in Garland, WV, a daughter of the late Miles Hebert Atwell and Rosetta Atwell Shelton. She was a 1963 graduate of Iaeger High School and a member of the Beartown Community Church. Eunice loved going to church and reading her bible. She enjoyed talking on the phone, doing word searches and playing cards with her own rules.

"In addition to her parents Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Algie “Jiggs” Edgell; and three brothers, Richard, Charles, and Joseph Atwell.

"Survivors include two daughters, Doris Christine Lowery Starrett and husband Patrick of Taylors, SC and Drema Diane Lowery Gross and husband Marcus of Troutman, NC; one son, Emery Ezekiel Edgell and wife Sharon of Squire, WV; three brothers, Dillard Atwell and wife Barbara of Lex, John Atwell and wife Brenda of Harmony, NC and David Atwell and wife Bonnie of Statesville, NC; three sisters, Sylvia Jane Deskins of Lex, Loretta Payne and husband Odell of Coeburn, VA and Kathryn Fultz of Statesville, NC; four grandchildren, Anthony and Brian Gross, Christopher Starrett, and Hannah Bryant; three step grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one on the way; 32 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

" Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 11 o’clock with Reverend Nancy Blevins and Reverend Phyllis Rowe officiating at the Jesus Church of Bartley in Bartley, WV. Burial will follow in the Atwell/Edgell Cemetery on Atwell Mountain near Atwell, WV.
