"Carl Thomas Bailey, 68, of Iaeger, WV, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at his residence."Carl was born in Iaeger December 21, 1951 as son of the late Bruce and Violet Crouse Bailey. He was a coal miner; before becoming disabled he was an awesome hunter and fisherman.
"In addition to his parents Carl was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Bailey.
"Survivors include his wife Sue Bailey of the home; two daughters, Alex (Jeff) Solarz of Richboro, PA and Carla Roberts of Iaeger; three grandsons, Max Solarz of New York, Benjamin Solarz of Richboro, PA, and Chris Jorda of Morgantown, WV; one granddaughter, Cami Bailey of Iaeger; two great grandsons, Easton Kennedy and Bryson Collins both of Iaeger; two brothers, Jeff (Connie) Bailey of Gary and James (Roberta) Bailey of Iaeger; two sisters, Debbie Farley of Statesville, NC and Dorothy Lambert of Montrose, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his wife’s family, Samuel (Bobby) Maxwell and family of Tennessee, Stanley Maxwell and family of Florida, David Maxwell and family of South Carolina, Tina Maxwell and family of Panther, Linda Maxwell Jones of Iaeger; brother-in-law, Asa Meadows of Honaker, VA; and special friends Skyler Edwards of Iaeger and Steven Maxwell of Tennessee.
"Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1 o’clock with Elder Fred Bailey officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger.
"Friends may call at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger from 11 till time of services at 1.
Burial will be at 1 o’clock Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in Woodlawn Memorial Park at Bluewell, WV.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers."Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced with no more than 25 people in attendance.
