"Floyd Miller, age 88, passed away on March 5, 2016, in Fair Oaks, CA. Buzz, as he was affectionately known, was born May 27, 1927 in Boissevain, VA. A long-time resident of Fair Oaks, he is survived by his son Keith Miller, daughter Sherry Affleck (Robert) and grandson Jason Sims. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Ruth Elizabeth Miller, in 2004. He was also predeceased by his parents, Paul and Jennie Miller, and brothers Doug, Dewey, Raymond, and James Elwood. He leaves behind brother Henry Miller of Smyrna, DE and sister Sadie Miller of Christiansburg, VA along with numerous nephews and nieces. Floyd served in the Marine Corps during WWII. After the war, he became a stationary engineer and worked at Cape Canaveral before moving to California where he was a member of the Stationary Engineers Local Union and a long time employee at Rainbo Bakery in Sacramento before retiring in 1989. Floyd was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Fair Oaks where his efforts to help other members of the congregation in-need allowed him to develop a close and loving network of friends. Friends are invited to join the family for services at the First Baptist Church of Fair Oaks (4401 San Juan Avenue, Fair Oaks) at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 14th. Lunch will follow. Interment at Fair Oaks Cemetery will be private. ,,,"

"Tommy was a coal miner for many years, he then began and ran a very successful lawn care business until his death. He loved his dogs, Bear Dog, and Chester, and was very devoted to his family.
"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Michael Carothers , his brothers and sisters Bob, George, Alice, Carl, Estil, and Orville Carothers, and Delores Bowling.
