"Donald “Donnie” Lee Chadwell Jr., 66 years of age, of Avondale, WV, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2026, at his home with family by his side."Donnie was born August 24, 1959, a beloved son of Donald and Patty Chadwell of Avondale, WV. He was a long time and respected business owner of the Iaeger and Bradshaw areas, where he built a loving home and lasting relationships within his community. He deeply valued his employees, whom he considered extended family.
"Donnie was a faithful member of the Church of the Living God in Garland, WV, where he valued fellowship and his walk with Jesus.
"Above all, Donnie was a devoted husband and father. He was united in marriage to Deborah “Debbie” Keen Chadwell for 48 years, and together they built a life centered on faith, love, and commitment to their family. His greatest joy came from time spent with his two sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren.
"In earlier life, Donnie found his enjoyment in motorcross, water sports, and golfing. When he became a father, his happiness came from making memories with his two sons 4-wheeling, playing paintball, go-kart racing, and following them in sports. Later in life, he rekindled his love of riding motorcycles with his sons and friends. He had a special love for his dogs, who were constant companions and a source of comfort and joy
"He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, generous heart, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. Donnie valued family above all else, and his presence will be deeply missed.
"Donnie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elza and Georgia Hopkins and paternal grandparents Irvin and Hartense Chadwell.
